As we enter Week 33 of the school year, our Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) focus will be on Respect through active listening. We will be encouraging students to practice whole-body and mindful listening, use an appropriate voice level, respond respectfully and appropriately, and follow adult directions. We encourage you to ask your child, "How can you be an active listener?" This will help them reflect on their listening skills and reinforce what they are learning in school. Thank you for your support!

Road conditions are challenging around Kelso especially on less traveled roads and in the upper elevations. We will have a 2-hour late start for Friday morning to provide additional time for road crews to clear streets needed for buses. There will be no AM Preschool. The additional time will let us assess road conditions and make a determination that keeps students safe. Families may want to plan for child care in the event that we are not able to open safely. We will share an update tomorrow morning by 7:30 am. Thank you to all the road crews working to clear roads and keep everyone safe.
