REGISTRATION FOR WINTER AND SPRING SPORTS! THE COMBINED SEASON OF WINTER AND SPRING SPORTS SEASON STARTS APRIL 12. GIRLS WINTER SPORTS ARE BASKETBALL, BOWLING, AND WRESTLING. BOYS WINTER SPORTS ARE BASKETBALL, SWIM & DIVE, AND WRESTLING. GIRLS SPRING SPORTS ARE FASTPITCH SOFTBALL, GOLF, TENNIS AND TRACK & FIELD. BOYS SPRING SPORTS ARE BASEBALL, SOCCER AND TRACK & FIELD. ATHLETES WILL NEED A CURRENT PHYSICAL ON FILE FOR PARTICIPATION, PHYSICALS ARE VALID FOR TWO YEARS. STUDENTS MAY SIGN UP FOR TWO SPORTS (1 WINTER, 1 SPRING). ONE OF THOSE SPORTS MUST BE NO CONTACT AND THEY CANNOT BE TWO SPORTS THAT OTHERWISE OCCUR IN THE SAME SEASON. REGISTRATION INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS ARE POSTED ON THE KHS WEBSITE UNDER ATHLETICS. A PARTICIPATION FEE OF $50 PER SPORT IS REQUIRED AND THE STUDENT MUST HAVE A CURRENT ASB CARD. REGISTRATIONS WILL BE DENIED IF THE STUDENT HAS NOT PAID HIS OR HER FEES FOR SEASON ONE. BE SURE TO UPDATE THE INFORMATION (i.e. DATE AND SPORT) ON PREVIOUS REGISTRATION WHEN SIGNING UP, OR YOUR REGISTRATION WILL BE DENIED UNTIL IT IS PROPERLY COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED.

On behalf of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) and Gesa Credit Union, congratulations to LEXI GRUMBOIS on being named a WIAA/Gesa Credit Union State Athlete of the Week for the week of February 28th - March 6th, 2021.
Throughout the school year, the WIAA and Gesa Credit Union honor student-athletes each week from around the state. This award is designed to honor Washington’s best. Lexi has spent a great deal of time and energy and her participation requires dedication and discipline. The COVID-19 pandemic has created unprecedented challenges for our schools and our student-participants. This recognition is a testament to Lexi’s resilience, the passion for softball, and her contributions as an ambassador for Kelso High School and community. Great job Lexi!

Attention Parents of JV/C-team Football players:
FOR HOME JV/C-TEAM FOOTBALL GAMES ONLY: KSD is still restricted by a cap of 200 attendees at events, including players, coaches, officials, and game personnel. Due to this restriction, JV/C team football players will be allowed 2 SPECTATORS PER PLAYER at Saturday HOME games. Players or parents can pick up passes in the main office today, Thursday March 11, or pick them up at the gate prior to the game Saturday. While on campus, masks are required and we ask that you keep a distance of at least 6 feet between you and others. Please do not show up to the game more than 30 minutes before game time and plan to vacate immediately after the game.
