All other Kelso schools will be on time and operating as scheduled.
Route 20: Students living above Olson on Kool Rd. will need to meet the bus at the Kool Rd./Mt. Pleasant intersection at 7:15 a.m. for secondary.

Families: Today, 05/07/25 we had an FIRE EVACUATION drill following our comprehensive safety plan. The health and safety of our students and staff is a top priority for Kelso School District. Please talk with your child/children about the need for a swift evacuation, leaving belongings behind if necessary, and moving to a designated safe location.
Blue Jay Families~ Please have your child make sure they check the lost and found this week. All unclaimed items will be donated this weekend! You may stop by and take a look before or after school this week. Our lost and found is located by our gym.
2/14/25: Kelso schools will be closed on Friday, February 14, 2025, due to inclement weather. There will be no classes or after-school activities.
Road conditions are challenging around Kelso especially on less traveled roads and in the upper elevations. We will have a 2-hour late start for Friday morning to provide additional time for road crews to clear streets needed for buses. There will be no AM Preschool.
The additional time will let us assess road conditions and make a determination that keeps students safe. Families may want to plan for child care in the event that we are not able to open safely.
We will share an update tomorrow morning by 7:30 am.

2/13/25: EARLY RELEASE - Kelso Schools will dismiss students early today due to inclement weather. Release will follow Wednesday early release schedule (1:00 pm for secondary and 1:55 pm for elementary). No PM preschool. All bus routes will run on PM snow routes https://5il.co/13rb9

Blue Jay Families, tomorrow our 4th and 5th grade students will be preforming at our Veterans Day Assembly. If you have a child preforming, please remind them to wear red, white, and blue!
We will have two performances starting at 9:30 and 1:30. We ask that families line up outside on the sidewalk by our lower entrance. We will open doors for guests at 9:00 and 1:00.
If you are unable to use stairs, please come to the main entrance.
We look forward to honoring and showing our gratitude towards our community of Veterans.
Reminder/update around safety! If you are dropping of your child, please keep them in your vehicle until 8:15. We do not have supervision until that time. We have a new crosswalk painted in our parking lot. We ask if you are walking to drop off or pick up your child, you start using our crosswalk. Thank you!
Student pick up reminder: if you are driving to pick up your student, please be mindful and DO NOT block any driveways along the street. Thank you for making our first day a successful day!
