2200 food items donated

The 28th annual Butler Acres Turkey Trot collected a record amount of food--2,200 items-- this year, according to PE teacher and organizer, Jon Webb.

On Thursday, November 16, students ran around the track for this year's Trot and competed individually and as classes. The fastest students won turkeys and pies,  the class with the most food donations won a pizza party (congratulations Ms. Atkinson's class!).

Butler Acres gave all the food to our Family & Community Resource Center (FCRC), and the FCRC is donating to our KSD Transportation Department's 16th annual Stuff the Bus.  Thanks to the Kelso High Leadership students who loaded all the food on the bus!

Stuff the Bus happens Saturday, November 25th from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Kelso Target. Santa will be there and available for photos with a donation of food, a toy, or $5.
