We’re very excited to announce the winning design for the mascot of Lexington Elementary. Meet Lex, drawn by Chris Erickson, IT Support Specialist. In addition to Chris’ computer skills, he is a very talented artist who draws every day.
Lex is friendly, strong and confident—just like our students—and we can’t wait to incorporate this magnificent bird into the Lexington look and feel.
The top three submissions for mascot design all came from employees of the district. In addition to Chris, Megan Yarroll, 2nd grade teacher at Barnes (eagle on right), and Anita Caldwell from the maintenance department (eagle on left), also submitted artwork.
