We’re holding a public hearing and two open houses to invite the community to share their thoughts on a proposed change in construction plans for replacing aging elementary schools. (Read more about that here.)
The public hearing will be held Monday, December 17th, at 6:00 pm at the district office as part of a regularly scheduled board meeting. The Kelso School Board will hear public testimony and consider whether the modifications are in the best interests of the district and the students they serve.
To allow ample opportunity for feedback, we’re holding two open houses: one on Tuesday, December 18th, and the other on Wednesday, January 9th. Both are from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the commons area of Kelso High School. Rough renderings of proposed plans for the larger school at Lexington will be available for viewing, as will renderings for the new Wallace Elementary. A construction budget station will also be available at both open houses.
