Wondering what our new elementary schools will look like? Come to our Open House on October 25th and take a look at the preliminary designs. Schematics of the new schools at Lexington and Wallace will be up in the Kelso High School Commons on Thursday, October 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM for viewing and discussion.
The designs are the result of many hours of research and community input from multiple committees. An Educational Specifications Committee worked together to determine needs for each school and tour other elementary schools in the Washington and Oregon for ideas and best practices. Then a Design Advisory Committee refined ideas and worked with architects to conceptualize plans.
In addition to a station for each of the two schools, a safety and security station will also be available at the open house for community input.
Team members from Integrus Architecture, FORMA Construction Company, and Kelso School District will be leading discussions at each station and on-hand to answer questions and record community comments.
