The 9th Annual No Limits Track Meet wrapped up Friday with a day full of smiles, cheers, personal victories, and unforgettable moments.
Hosted by Kelso School District, this year’s event welcomed a record-breaking 282 student athletes from 22 schools across 11 districts, representing 26 classrooms from throughout Southwest Washington.
Despite gray skies, the weather cooperated with a cool and thankfully dry day—perfect conditions for athletes to sprint, roll, jump, throw, and shine. Throughout the event, students were met with enthusiastic support from peers, staff, families, volunteers, and community members who lined the track to celebrate every accomplishment.
The spirit of the day was perhaps best captured in the joy seen across the stadium. Whether earning a ribbon, crossing a finish line, or simply being cheered on by supporters, every athlete was celebrated. (Some photos from the day can be found here.)
This year’s Spirit Award was presented to Hockinson for their outstanding enthusiasm, encouragement, and sportsmanship throughout the event.
New this year, after the student competitions concluded, three school mascots took to the track for a race of their own—bringing laughter and excitement to an already memorable day.
The event was made possible by 46 student volunteers, 9 adult volunteers, generous sponsors, and countless supporters. By day’s end, volunteers had served 525 hamburgers, handed out 352 shaved ice cups, and awarded an impressive 1,049 ribbons.
Now in its ninth year, the No Limits Track Meet continues to grow, proving that when a community comes together to celebrate ability, determination, and inclusion, there truly are no limits.
