Kelso High School’s 1st Annual Teal Out for Team Jules Basketball game will be held Friday, January 24th during the Girls Varsity Basketball game at 7:00 PM.
Kelso High School Pep Club students will be raising money for the Julia Hiatt Memorial Scholarship through the Kelso Public Schools Foundation to honor former Kelso High School graduate, Julia Hiatt who lost her battle with cancer in 2019. This scholarship will be granted to a Kelso student who, like Julia, makes Kelso High a better place for their peers, believes in doing good for others just for the sake of being kind and a person who inspires others through, not only their actions, but just by being who they are. There will be various donating opportunities including a pass the pot at halftime, cups of Blue Lemonade will be sold for $1 as well as Julia’s Gratitude merchandise such as hoodies and t-shirts.
This game will be a Teal Out so wear as much TEAL as you have and come support your Kelso Hilanders as they take on the Hudson’s Bay Eagles and join Team Jules and our efforts to honor Julia and her legacy and raise money for the scholarship in her name.
We will have additional Pass the Pot collections on Wednesday January 29th at the Kelso home wrestling meet and January 31st at the boys basketball game vs Evergreen.
If you are unable to attend these games and would like to donate, donations to the Julia Hiatt Memorial Scholarship will be graciously accepted at the Kelso High School ASB office through January 31st and at all times directly through the Kelso Public Schools Foundation.
WE ARE TOGETHER!!!
