The Kelso FFA Livestock Judging team placed 18th in the state competition last week in Spokane. This was the team's first year judging livestock and they were the only west-side team to place in the top 20.
This career development event consisted of judging beef, sheep, goats, and swine; selecting breeding stock; and a knowledge test about the livestock industry. They also made oral presentations stating the reasons for their selection of animals.
