KHS Announcements

Testing Late Starts: May 23, 25, 30 & June 1

For all students who are not testing on the late start dates, school will start at 11:00.  We will have the non-testing activities for all non-testers who are on campus at that time.  

·       May 23 – Biology EOC (10th grade biology students (possibly 9th) and any junior or senior who has not met grade standard for Biology. 

·       May 25 – SBA Math (All 11th grade students who did not test or pass when they were 10th graders, All 10th graders who are in Algebra 2B, or took 2B in tri 1 and any senior who has not met math graduation standards.)

·       May 30 & June 1 – ELA SBA (All LA 10 B classes and any junior or senior who has not met standard for graduation.)


Wanted: Computer Science Volunteers

Kelso High School is participating in a great program called TEALS that pairs volunteers who  have computer science experience or training with teachers who are introducing computer science classes at the high school. If you have a degree in computer science or experience in computer programming and can dedicate about 1-2 hours a week (you’ll be done by 9:00 AM) please contact brenda.sargent@kelsosd.org for more information. Don't lose access to the files in your Google Drive account. You can download your files following these directions or you can use a Google Service called Transfer to transfer your files from your school account to a personal account. Watch this video at home to learn how it works.


BUILDING RESILIENCE – A Self Care Event For Parents!

You take care of your kids, but do you take care of yourself? Adolescence is a stressful time that provides unique parenting challenges. Taking care of yourself is a great way to help maintain a healthy family and role model resilience.

The evening's panel discussion will give you some practical tips to take care of yourself and your family. The raffle and resource fair will give you tools and programs to implement your new skills.
