KHS Announcements

Food Drive

Leadership Class will be hosting a Can Food Drive from March 15th - March 30th. It will be a class competition during 1st period classes where the class that raises the most food by weight will get a Pizza Party!!!!!  All of the food raised during the drive will stay local and go to families from Kelso schools. This year we will be weighing the boxes to find who the winner is since this will encourage students and staff to bring in nutritious food for the families in order to win. Please no perishable items;canned foods and microwavable foods are the best items. If you have any questions contact Julia Hallowell or Mr. Davis.

Career Fair March 30th

The Sophomore Career Fair is hosted at Lower Columbia College, located at 1600 Maple Street, Longview, WA, on Friday, March 30, 2018.  Your student will attend three career presentation sessions of their choice.  Buses will depart from KHS at 9:00am and return to KHS at 11:15am. Students will return to the high school in time to be served lunch as usual.

It is an expectation that ALL Sophomore students participate in this event which is a component of their High School and Beyond Plan and directly in line with the KSD initiative to better prepare students for Career, College and Community Readiness.

If there are unique circumstances which permit your student from participating in this event please have them stop by the Career Center and pick up an OPT-OUT form. OPT-OUT forms must be completed and returned to the Career Center no later than March 23, 2018. Students opting out of the Career Fair will be required to complete a make-up assignment. For more information please call (360) 501-1838.
