SAT | PSAT

The testing program provided by the Kelso School District is designed to (1) provide information for making educational decisions by student, parent, and staff and (2) aid in assessing the effectiveness of the educational program.

The specific objectives of the testing program are:

Assessment
To measure and analyze the progress of students in relationship to a standard of achievement in order to assess needs or trends.

Program Evaluation
1. Formative - to modify a specific program based on test results.
2. Summative - to describe the effects of a specific program.

School Management
To determine student placement within the school program and select students and weaknesses.

Classroom Management
To assist in instructional decisions and to diagnose individual strengths and weaknesses.

Counseling and Guidance
To assist individual students in making decisions. Students and parents/guardians are urged to contact a counselor if they have any questions regarding either the District's testing program or voluntary tests available for students.

SAT INFORMATION

Test will be held on Saturday, October 4th in the Kelso High School LIBRARY
Please stop into the counseling center and get an SAT book or log onto www.collegeboard.com for more information.Students must sign up by September 9th and late fee registration is September 16th.

Standard fee is $45.00
Late registration is and additional $23.00

PSAT INFORMATION
PSAT will be held Wednesday October 15th in KHS Library, cost $15.00.

Pay dues to the ASB office. Test check-in will be at 7:30.
A limited number of fee waivers are available to students who qualify.
