Senior year is a busy time with lots of opportunities for your students to make the last month of their school year special. Please read our Senior Letter for more information.

Sophomore Career Fair: March 29th

ALL 10th GRADE STUDENTS AT KHS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SOPHOMORE CAREER FAIR AT LCC

The Sophomore Career Fair is hosted at Lower Columbia College, located at 1600 Maple Street, Longview, WA, on Friday, March 29, 2019.  Buses will depart from KHS at 9:00am and return to KHS at 11:20am. Students will return to the high school in time to be served lunch as usual.

It is an expectation that ALL Sophomore students participate in this event which is a component of their High School and Beyond Plan and directly in line with the KSD initiative to better prepare students for Career, College and Community Readiness.

Monday – Super Meme Day (Dress up as your favorite meme)

Tuesday – Super Seasons Day (Wear attire from your favorite season, think snow storms, summer beaches, cool crisp autumn walks, and spring colors!)

Wednesday – Super Silly Day (Wear the wackiest combination of clothes and patterns, no need to fix your hair, because bed hair will fit the bill today!)

Thursday – Super Fan Day (What are you a fan of? Wear your fan gear for your favorite sports team, tv show, movie, or band)

Friday – Super Bright Color Wars

Freshmen – Neon Pink

Sophomores – Neon Green

Juniors – Neon Yellow

Seniors – Neon Orange

Staff – All Decked Out Neon or Your Choice

Single- $10 W/ASB, $15 W/OUT ASB

Wanted: Computer Science Volunteers

Kelso High School is participating in a great program called TEALS that pairs computer science volunteers with teachers who are introducing computer science classes at the high school. We are looking for volunteers for next year’s classes. If you have a degree in computer science or experience in computer programming and can dedicate about 1-2 hours a week (you’ll be done by 9:00 AM) please contact brenda.sargent@kelsosd.org for more information.
