Special Events

Please remember we will be releasing at 12:00 on Wednesday, November 26th in honor of Thanksgiving Break!  School will be closed Nov. 27th and Nov. 28th enjoy your family and loved ones!!

Our annual penny drive begins November 13th and runs through December 3rd. The 5th period class with the most "pennies" (after sabotage) will win the shopping trip to Target and the Salvation Army. Students can help increase their classroom's chance of winning by sabotaging another classroom's penny jar with quarters, dimes, nickels and dollar bills.  These amounts will be deducted from that room's penny count!!  ALL the money earned (including sabotage) is used to buy gifts for the Salvation Army's Christmas Gift Program. Start saving those pennies and help your student's 5th period class win!

Common Core Standards-

Today’s students are preparing to enter a world in which colleges and businesses are demanding more than ever before. To ensure all students are ready for success after high school, the Common Core State Standards establish clear, consistent guidelines for what every student should know and be able to do in math and English language arts from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Want to learn more on how you can assist and support your child with the new Common Core State Standards (CCSS)?  Visit this website!
