| KELSO SCHOOL DISTRICT STRATEGIC PLAN |
THE PROCESS
In November, 2004, a group of more than 60 community
members, including school staff, parents, students,
government officials and business representatives,
met with the Kelso School Board for 12 hours
over two days. The purpose of the process was
to share ideas and gather information that would
lead to the development of a strategic plan.
Numerous strategies surfaced, and after sorting
through the input, all of the identified issues
began to fall under two primary goals. Over
the next three months, two committees drafted
action plans for these goals based on the input
from the November session. In March, 2005, the
original strategic planning group reconvened
to critique these plans. The vision and strategic
plan presented here is a coordinated effort
that unifies all of us in advancing the education
of each and every Kelso student.
