1. Where were you born, where did you grow up, and family size as a child?
I was born in Manistee, Michigan. My father was an officer in the Military, so I moved at least 3 to 5 times every 3 years. I have lived in 49 states and Germany. I have four brothers that are living and one that passed on when he was a baby.
2. What college(s) did you attend and what degree's did you earn there?
I've attended U of Wand U of P. I have a BA in Education with an emphasis in physical science and an MA in Education with an emphasis in supervisional management.
3. What is your present department at Coweeman and extra activities at school?
The subjects I teach are Advanced 8th Grade Science, Leadership, Integrated 8th Grade Science and Credit Recovery. I am the Science Department Chair for Coweeman. I am also the Secondary District Science Representative for LASER Team and am on the district Health Committee. I am a Leader for the following: Science After School Homework Program and Chess Club. Also I teach summer school for 7th and 8th grade science recovery.
4. What is your philosophy in teaching?
All students can be successful and responsible in school and everyday life by being held accountable for their actions, using respect, intervention and proper consequences.
5. Who are your kids and what do they do?

I have 5 kids. My oldest is my son Skyler Gemar who is 31. He is marreid to Lisa. They have a daughter named Kylie Page. They also live in Seattle. My next youngest child is Ariel who is 30. She lives in Seattle and is a Graphic Arts Designer. Erika (who is 29) is my next youngest child. She is married to Greg Linnell. They Live in Greenlake. She is a CPA for Ernst and Young. Greg is in construction managment for Walsch Construction. Jessica is my youngest daughter and is 27. She is married to Richard Milloya. They are both commanders and captians in the army. They have 2 boys named Aiden and James. My youngest son is Joey Gemar. He is 27 and lives in Seattle. He works at a restruant in Seattle.
