The board has begun the superintendent selection process. Superintendent Rob MacGregor’s resignation, which will become effective July 1, 2014, was accepted by the Board on February 24. Read his resignation letter here.

Beacon Hill Principal Ron Hutchison announced his plans to retire effective June 30, 2014. The Kelso School District is focused on Quality Instruction for all students. It is important that we hear your opinion and experiences related to your child's special education programing and/or experience. We invite you to take this brief survey that will be utilized to assist our special education advisory council to identify goals and areas that Kelso School District can improve special education services.
All 10th grade students at KHS will participate in the Annual Sophomore Career Fair at LCC. Students will attend 3 career presentation sessions of their choice. Buses will depart from KHS at 8:50am and return at 11:20am. It is an expectation that ALL sophomore students participate in this event which is directly in line with the KSD strategic plan Roadmap for Results to better prepare students for Career, College and Community Readiness. March is the month to apply for your child to attend a school other than your neighborhood school. If you want to guarantee consideration before the start of the 2014-15 school year you must have your application returned to the Student Services Office (601 Crawford Street, Kelso, WA) by 4:00 PM on Monday, March 31, 2014.
