The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and the State Board of Education have granted Barnes and Carrolls Elementary Schools each Washington Achievement Awards. The Washington Achievement Award is a part of the State Board’s accountability program adopted in 2009, established to celebrate the state’s top-performing schools and to recognize achievement in multiple categories. KSD is beginning the process of determining eligibility for the District's Highly Capable Program for the 2014/15 school year. Over the next few weeks, all 2nd grade students will be given the CogAT 7 Test to gauge initial eligibility to be served in the program. For additional information please click here.

Child screening will take place on April 24, at Catlin Elementary School for children 3-5 years old who reside in the Kelso School District and who have not yet entered Kindergarten.
