The Kelso School District Board of Directors is pleased to announce they have offered the position of Superintendent to Mr. Glenn Gelbrich, beginning July 1, 2014.
Mr. Gelbrich is currently Superintendent in Juneau School District. Prior to that he has served 30 years in Oregon public schools. Learn more in this article at www.tdn.com.
This summer the Kelso School District is serving free breakfast and lunch to all children through age 18 at Wallace, Kelso High School, Coweeman, Barnes, and Butler Acres this summer.
Schedules are available in both ENGLISH and SPANISH.
Parents of students enrolled at any of the Kelso School District Title I Schools (Wallace, Barnes, Catlin, or Loowit) may click their schools individual survey link to participate in the annual Title I Parent Survey. The purpose of this survey is to provide the Kelso School District's Title I Program leadership with valuable feedback from parents of students enrolled at a Kelso Title I school. Your opinion is valued, appreciated, and important to continued school improvement.Thank you for your time!
The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and the State Board of Education have granted Barnes and Carrolls Elementary Schools each Washington Achievement Awards. The Washington Achievement Award is a part of the State Board’s accountability program adopted in 2009, established to celebrate the state’s top-performing schools and to recognize achievement in multiple categories. The award is highly selective and based on a school’s performance according to the Washington Achievement Index. Download the full press release here.
HiCap screening of all second grade students has been completed. If your student had qualifying scores for further testing you would have received a letter in the mail this week.
